Children's Services

NCSH operates two California State Licensed, subsidized child development centers that serve 130 children from birth through 5 years of age. We serve a variety of children, many who have unique challenges facing them including coming from families burdened with poverty, substance abuse and little formal education. NCSH is an approved Preschool For All site with enhanced services that help children to successfully transition into kindergarten.

At the CDC we serve infants from 3 weeks to two years old, and also three and four year olds (pre-kindergarten). Children who attend a quality childcare learn about taking turns, sharing, getting along with others, conflict resolution, problem solving, bonding with other trusted adults, building friendships, self help skills, and kindergarten readiness skills through the variety of activities done by the children everyday.
