North County Serenity House provides a variety of rewarding opportunities for those seeking to donate their time and efforts towards recovery. Interns and Volunteers are needed in many areas to provide the support our women need.

Volunteer Program

How do I become a volunteer?

All prospective applicants must complete and submit a volunteer application package

Where do I obtain a volunteer application package?

Volunteer application packages are available by download or at the Human Resources office located at:

North County Serenity House
130 S. Fig Street
Escondido, CA 92025

All applications must be submitted to our Human Resources office.

Are there any age requirements?

We accept volunteers of all ages.  However, all volunteers under the age of 18 must have a signed parental consent form on file with Human Resources.  Additionally, any volunteer under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while on site.

Does everyone get to volunteer?

Due to the nature of our program, we cannot guarantee a volunteer opportunity to all who apply.  We carefully screen and consider every applicant submission, and do our very best to match the right individual to the right opportunity. 

What qualifications must I have?

The level of experience and skill sets needed to successfully perform a volunteer job assignment varies. 


I’ve been selected to volunteer, what’s next?

You will be invited to join us at volunteer orientation. At orientation, you will be introduced to staff, interns and other volunteers. Additionally, you will receive specialized training, issued identification, and receive a Volunteer Handbook to familiarize you with the policies and procedures of the agency.
