Volunteer Program

Below we have listed common questions and answers about our volunteer program that may assist you.

How do I become a volunteer?

All prospective applicants must complete and submit a volunteer application package. A list of current volunteer assignments can be found on online. Each posting will provide the prospective volunteer with important details about the job, such as work duties, skills or qualification required, and the time commitment needed to be effective.

Where do I obtain a volunteer application package?

Volunteer application packages are available by download or at the administration office located at:

All applications must be submitted to Human Resources at our administration offices.

Are there any age requirements?

We accept volunteers of all ages. However, all volunteers under the age of 18 must have a signed parental consent form on file with Human Resources. Additionally, any volunteer under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while on site.

What are the time and date commitments for volunteering?

The time and date commitment for each volunteer assignment will vary. Please refer to the posted volunteer assignment for details concerning these commitments.

Does everyone get to volunteer?

Due to the nature of our program, we cannot guarantee a volunteer opportunity to all who apply. We carefully screen and consider every applicant submission, and do our very best to match the right individual to the right opportunity.

What qualifications must I have?

The level of experience and skill sets needed to successfully perform a volunteer job assignment varies. Each posted job assignment contains information specifying the qualifications needed. Some require experience, while others have training provided.

I’ve been selected to volunteer, what’s next?

You will be invited to join us at volunteer orientation. At orientation, you will be introduced to staff, interns and other volunteers. Additionally, you will receive specialized training, issued identification, and receive a Volunteer Handbook to familiarize you with the policies and procedures of the agency.
