Serenity Village Transitional Housing

NCSH Serenity Village Transitional HousingNCSH - Serenity Village Transitional Housing opened in 2007 for women and women with children. The site offers 8 houses - each are 3 bedroom, 3 bath with a community kitchen, dining and living areas.

In an effort to promote the transition out of care, self-sufficiency classes are a mandatory part of our transitional housing and include budgeting/finance, job seeking skills, parenting, housing, and "Big Book" recovery.

Tenants are eligible to stay in transitional housing for up to 24 months.

Following are criteria that women must meet in order to live at Serenity Village:

  • Tenant must have completed alcohol and drug treatment
  • Tenant must have an income
  • Tenant must be working at 12-step recovery program
  • Rent is calculated based on family household income
  • Mandatory self-sufficiency classes
